My first time with sleep paralysis

In summary, sleep paralysis happens when your body thinks your asleep but you're still awake. When your body thinks you're asleep, it relaxes so that you don't move while you're dreaming and hurt yourself. When people have sleep paralysis, they're awake but unable to move their body since it's "sleeping."

A lot of people have hallucinations during sleep paralysis which can also make it really frightening.

The night it happened, I was having anxiety and trouble sleeping.

I was facing the wall in my room and all of a sudden I hear this noise like someone's filling up their water cup from a water cooler. Which freaks me out because I don't have a water cooler in my room! I don't turn around because I'm hoping it's just my imagination. But I get the sense that whatever it is, was just taking a water break. Like he's preparing to do something.

Next thing I know, I feel something jump on my bed and then I feel this sensation shoot through my body starting from where the thing came onto my bed. It felt like some sort of force was trying to take over my body and get to my soul and I was pushing back against it from the inside. It was a really strange feeling and it just felt like this tug of war back and forth, me trying to push it out. And every time I was stronger and almost pushing it out, I would hear this weird ringing noise. While this was all happening, I just kept praying but I felt pretty confident, like I knew I was going to defeat whatever this thing was. This probably went on for like 30 seconds until I just lifted my head up (I did it without even thinking) and all of a sudden it stopped.

I don't know if my experience was with an evil spirit or not... but I do believe they exist.

Even though I believe in science and logic, I also believe that they are just tools to explain the mysteries of life. And that the unexplained is because we don't have the technology or knowledge to understand it yet.

Spirit or not, it was a really interesting experience 0_0
